Retro kitchens!
With no interior design qualifications whatsoever, who am I to recommend a design blog?
I have an old house (1929) and waver continually between updating it and preserving its vintage character. Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I have the same sink as the family in "A Christmas Story?" Am I allowed to refinish the drab, medium oak cabinets? That one has me in analysis paralysis because, while I do find them drab, they are amazing, custom, floor-to-ceiling cabinets. They'd look great in white or cream. But they've already been painted, stripped and refinished once before -- I've found the Art Deco Green paint flecks to prove it. I promise not to go with green.
So I'm clearly unfit to redo anyone's kitchen, but whatever I do it won't be like these kitchens.
